The Schloßberg is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Graz, rising up to a height of 375m over the city center. On the top used to be a castle, mostly destroyed by the French around 1809. Today it is a public park, on which is the famous Grazzer Uhrturm (Clocktower), a couple of restaurants, Chinese Pagoda, theatre and various panoramic viewpoints overlooking the city.
On a sunny day, the Schlossberg is a great place to wander around and relax, popular with locals and visitors alike. Two easy ways up Schloßberg are via a lift or the Schlossberg Funicular.
