Newbridge is a suburb to the west of Edinburgh, and south of Kirkliston. It is home to Edinburgh Airport and one of the busiest road junctions in Scotland where the M8, M9 and A8 meet. Nearby is the Almond Valley Viaduct, built in 1842 over the River Almond for the Edinburgh to Glasgow line.
