The Capela Senhora d 'Alegria is located on a hilltop in Riodades, a small village in the Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro region of S. Joao da Pesqueira municipality in Portugal.

Also know as the Chapel of Saint of Joy, Senhora d'Alegria chapel is accessed by an elegant stairway with 365 steps leading up from the road. It is thought the chapel and original stairway were built at the initiative of Acácio Sobral. The stairway was opened in 1966.

Senhora d'Alegria is honoured by a festival every 12-13th September and also during August. One of the highlights of these celebrations is the farewell to the S ª d'Alegria, in which her statue is paraded outside on a white and blue litter and followed by a crowd, enthusiastically waving white handkerchiefs.

The chapel is also worth visiting for the stunning, panoramic views of the surrounding region from the top, overlooking Riodades and the Távora river valley and Alto Douro Wine Region.
