Sentosa has been developed as a leisure and recreation resort south of Singapore. The island has a number of attractions, hotels, resorts, swimming pools and artificial beaches. The top of the Merlion on Sentosa offers panoramic views over the island and the south of Singapore, as seen in this panoramic photograph.

From here you can see over Keppel Harbour to VivoCity, HarbourFront the World Trade Center and the south of Singapore. Mount Faber rises behind the harbour. The other direction shows the vast amount of shipping in the Selat Pandan providing Singapore with everything needed to function.
