Dimboola a small town on the banks of Wimmera River in the Wimmera region of Victoria in Australia. It is about about halfway between Nhill and the city of Horsham and is the eastern gateway to Little Desert National Park. Before the arrival of Europeans, land around Dimboola was home to the Wotjobaluk aboriginal people. Today it is in the heart of wheat growing country.

Dimboola was made famous by Jack Hibberd's play 'Dimboola', which was subsequently made into a film. The town has several historical buildings and antique and craft shops, the annual Wimmera German Fest and a Rowing Regatta.

Dimboola - Tourist Attractions

• Wimmera River - when water flows the river is used for the Dimboola Regatta and Wimmera Sprints Regatta.
• Apex Park (Bi Centennial Community Park) - small park containing an old steam train, BBQ and picnic areas.
• Little Desert National Park - second largest National Park in Victoria, well known as a living wilderness for camping, bushwalking, waterskiing, fishing, rowing, canoeing and desert sunset.
• Dimboola Play - play using the town and history as the setting.
• Lake Hindmarsh - popular tourist destination near Jeparit about 50km north of Dimboola.
Lloyd Street - main street in Dimboola with shopping and restaurants.
• The Overland - passenger train that runs 828km between Melbourne and Adelaide.
• Pink Lake - salt lake, where salt has been commercially harvested, with pink coloured water from a pigment secreted by microscopic algae in the water.
• Snape Reserve - 754 hectares reserve near to Little Desert National Park on Old Racecourse Road.
• Dimboola Flora & Fauna Reserve - local reserve on the western edge of town.
Ebenezer Mission Station - established in 1859 by two Moravian missionaries the church closed in 1904, located 20km north of Dimboola on the road to Jeparit.
• Dimboola Golf Course - semi-private, par 71 golf course with limited opportunities exist for non-members to play.
