Panorama from the middle of the Pont des Arts in Paris. This bridge links le Louvre museum on the north side of the Seine to the Place de Institut in front of the Institut de France on the south. The Pont des Arts is a very popular footbridge in Paris, and a relaxing place from which to take in the activity on the River Siene as the pleasure cruises and other boats sail along it.

This panoramic photograph also shows Pont du Carrousel, the next bridge down river. In the other direction is Pont Neuf, the most famous bridge in France, that links the Ile de la Cite (on which stands the Notre Dame) with the rest of Paris. One of the most noticeable things about center of Paris from the bridges is that all the architecture is very low, classical and easy to view.
