The beach of Cala Tirant lies between two headlands on on the north coast of Menorca very close to Fornells. Behind the beach is marshland. The area is attractive, a little off the beaten track and popular for snorkeling and walking.

On either side of the beach the hills are lined with villas and private apartments. There are not many hotels here, and no big beach hotel resorts. The beach is fairly well provided for with loungers and a couple of bars.

From either Ciutadella or Mahon, take the Me-1 to Es Mercadal. The head north up the C-723 for about 7km and follow the signs off to the left for Cala Tirant.

An alternative route from Es Mercadal is the cf-3 road north past Dinissarraia and Binissarret. At Ses Cases Noves there is a t-junction. Here turn left following signs for Cala Tirant. (The right road continues north to Cap de Cavalleria.)

From Fornells take the C-723 south about 3km and follow the signs for Cala Tirant.
