This little square adjoins the main square in the old part of Brig, a picturesque town situated at the start of the Simplon Pass in the Swiss canton of the Valais. The railway lines of Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon and Matterhorn-Gotthard meet here, from where you can catch the famous Glacier Express linking Zermatt and St Moritz, or take the route south through the Simplon Tunnel to Italy.
