Largo do Rato is located in Lisbon between the Marquês de Pombal Square and the Largo da Estrela, Portugal.
Construction of Aqueduct became the most sought after place, and the consequent abundance of water allowed the installation of some industries such as the Royal Silk Factory, the Royal Factory cookware of Rato, and the inauguration in 1744, the fountain at the corner Street Polytechnic School.
In 1621 we built a convent of the Order of the Trinity, the first of this Order in Lisbon.Today it is headquarters of the Socialist Party.
