Stadtpark Montclair Allee - Graz visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Stadtpark Montclair Allee' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Styria.
Stadtpark park is one of the most important and largest open spaces in Graz. Starting at the base of the eastern slopes of Schlossberg, Stadtpark runs south behind the Burg and Burggarten to Fisher-Allee. Another section of Stadtpark continues south beyond this main road.
Stadtpark first opened in 1873 and covers land that had formed a glacis, or defensive bank, leading up to the Burg (old castle). Stadtpark is laid out in parts like an English Garden, with tree-lined avenues, ornamental plantations and a Stadtpark Fountain which is next to Forum Stadtpark which contains art exhibitions and a cafe. The old castle moats are filled with water in the summer months and contain fountains.
