Broken Hill is an old mining town in New South Wales. The tourist information office provides information about the local sights and attractions, hotels, car hire and travel. The office also has information about the cafes and restaurants as well as travel around other parts of the region.
The various tours available include Aboriginal tours, mine tours, sunset special tours, fishing and safari tours. Many of the road names reflect the close links with the mining industries.
Broken Hill - Tourist Attractions
- Junction Mine - a smaller chloride, lead and silver mine on the Line of Lode.
- Miners Memorial - memorial to all the miners who have died during mining operations, next to Broken Earth restaurant.
- Railway Station - site of the weekly Indian Pacific Train that runs from Sydney to Perth.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Flight: Broken Hill Airport
Road: Broken Hill is 500km from Adelaide and 1000km from Sydney on the junction of the 32 and 79 highways.
Rail: Broken Hill Station. It is one of the main stops on the Indian Pacific transcontinental railway running between Sydney and Perth.
