The Notre Dame du Puy cathedral, in Grasse dates from the 11th century and extended in the 17th century. It was built in honour of Honorat d'Arles (saint Honorat) with a nave 55m long and walls about 2m thick. Attached to the church is a 34m high bell tower containing 7 bells. Inside Notre-Dame-du-Puy de Grasse are three magnificent paintings by Rubens, the 'Washing of Feet' by Fragonard and other works by various artists including Negro Charles, Gaillard and Sébastien Bourdon.
Opposite the church on the square stands the former 13th century bishops palace, called the Ancien Evêché. The building was considerably altered in later times and is now the
Hôtel de Ville (Town Hall). Adjoining Notre Dame du Puy is Place du 24 Aot and has a very good view over the valley.
