Tour by Panoramic Earth, powered by MAI Technology Ltd Hochgurgl is located in the Alps at the end of the 54 km long Ötztal valley 2,150 m above sea level, close to the South Tirol border. Hochgurgl is the highest ski resort in Austria and one of a cluster of three linked ski resorts, the others being Untergurgle (1,790) and Obergurgl (1,930 m). They are linked by the Top Express Gurgl, an 8-seater gondola which makes the journey in 8 minutes in incredible surroundings. Piestes and runs: Hochgurgl is also popular with walkers in the summer. Several of the well known walking routes in the area include the ascent of the Hohe Mut by foot or chairlift where one gets spectacular panoramic views of the glaciers and ice fields of the Hauptkamm.
