The Serra da Freita/The Freita Mountains is part of the wider mountain range of the Maciço da Gralheira which also includes the Serra da Arada and the Serra do Arestal. Rising at times to an altitude of more than 1000 meters the vast Serra da Freita has much to offer visitors including a small but beautiful waterfall (Frecha da Mizarela) and the Pedras Parideiras/Childbearing Stones.
