The world's largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas, arrives at it's new home in Fort Lauderdale on November 11th 2010. Hundreds of cheering fans, loads of cameras and a marching band greeted the massive ship as it entered Port Everglades.

John U Lloyd Beach State Park is located on the Florida coast, within Dania and just south of Fort Lauderdale. The park is unique in that it contains a manatee sanctuary in Whiskey Creek. The park boasts 2 boat ramps, some of the most interesting shore dives in the area, and easy access to the open ocean through the Port Everglades Inlet.
Popular activities here include surf fishing, canoeing, swimming, nature study, boating, and picnicking. All this creates a welcoming place which has become a popular attraction in the area. The beach park also boasts restaurants, an education center, picnic tables, grills, and seven covered picnic pavilions.
