Mount Grenfell Historic Site is located in west of NSW, approx. 50 kilometres west of Cobar, 760 kilometres north west of Sydney.
The site features hundreds of Aboriginal paintings in reds, yellows and ochres colour under the rock overhangs at Mount Grenfell. A semi permanent waterhole provided an ideal meeting place for local Aboriginal groups who painted linear paintings, human figures, birds, mammals, reptiles and stick figures onto the rock face.
