Newquay Bay - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Panorama of the beach at Newquay Bay in Cornwall. The picture was taken at low tide. If you zoom in on the satellite image on the Google map of Cornwall, you can easily see the beaches off Newquay. It was fun to have the contrast between the sky and the sand, with the cliffs at Newquay and the sea forming the border between the two.

Newquay is a popular surfing and holiday destination in Cornwall. The town is on the north coast of Cornwall and has an airport nearby. Much of the cliff tops are lined with hotels and restaurants, offering dramatic views over the sea. At low tide are long, sandy beaches with rolling surf ideal for surfing. At high tide the waters come up to the base of the cliffs. In winter, the tops of the cliffs are ideal spots for storm watching, when massive breakers crash against the Cornish coastline.
