The Fort of St. Nicolas is located at the entrance to the Vieux-Port in Marseille, Cote d'Azur, France, Europe. The fort was built in a mixture of medieval and gothic style in the mid 17th century during the reign of Louis XIV. The purpose of the construction the fort was to guard the Spanish invaders. There is a secret passage to the Fort to the main part of the city of Marseille.
