Mount Hope Royal Hotel - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Mount Hope was once a busy copper mining town with a population of over 3,000 people on the Barrier Highway.
Today the population of this small locality only increases from time to time with workers cutting broom brush and cypress pine logs for vineyards and apiarists shifting bees while the mallee is in flower.
The Royal Hotel is a welcome stop for locals and travellers of the outback tourist route Kidman Way to break the long drive to and from Cobar.
