The Monumento Cristóvão Colombo was built in 1888, for the Universal exhibition, in honor to the exploiting acquaintance and discoverer from America. Located in the center of the Plaça de la Porta de Pau in Barcelona, Spain, where Cristóvão Colombo arrived before in 1493 after having uncovered America one year. The monument has 60m of height beautifully adorned with countless allegorical illustrations.
