Isola Bella - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The island Bella is situated in northern Italy in the region of Alpine lakes, more specifically in Lake Maggiore.
The Bella island was given in the fifteenth century to the Borromeo family, which has built magnificent palaces and gardens. The construction of first buildings began by order of Giulio Cesare Borromeo (1593-1638), but was Carlo III (1586-1652) who really had make the first concrete interventions. He called the island Isabella, in honor of his wife Isabella D'Adda.
The Bella island is accessible by boat from several small towns of the region.
