Piazza Duomo is placed downtown of Milano, in the province of Lombardia, Italy and it was projected by Giuseppe Mengoni and started its construction in 1876. It is a gigantic square flanked to north and south by impressive buildings and in the western extremity rises Victor's equestrian statue Emanuel II in 1896. On the opposite side the imposing Cathedral of Milano dedicated Santa Maria Nascente, a Lombardy symbol in Gothic style, its construction had start in 1386 and ended after 500 years in 1887.
