Geger Beach - Hillside - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Geger Beach was a refreshing beach to visit, quiet, relaxing and beautiful. Long waves rolled into the sea from offshore and the beach club looked like a great place to unwind with a drink. Unfortunately there was not time and Uluwatu Temple beckoned.
Geger Beach - Hillside - FURTHER INFORMATION
Geger Beach - Hillside - Bali visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Geger Beach - Hillside' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Lesser Sunda Islands.
Panorama from the hillside behind Geger Beach on the southern end of Bali.
As you can see in this panoramic photograph, the are behind Geger beach in Bali is thankfully underdeveloped, though there is no betting that it will remain so. The site seems prime to have a hotel slapped on it, as the has a fantastic view over the ocean and a great place to watch surf rolling in from the sea.
Geger Beach is just visible as a strip of white sand delineating the edge of Bali. The road from here continues south down Bali to a purpose built hotel and beach resort, about 3 miles further on. There is nothing for the tourist to see beyond Geger Beach unless you are heading for the beach resort hotel.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
From Sanur, Kuta or Denpasar City drive south past the Ngurah Rai International Airport and follow signs to Nusa Dua. At Nusa Dua continue south for a few minutes and follow the signs for Geger Beach. The track to the beach is at a sharp corner of the road, which then continues up a hill overlooking the bay. If you have come this far turn back as the road goes on a few more miles to yet another purpose built resort and then peters out.
