As this scenery on the road towards Klotok Temple and Klotok beach was new to me, I just had to stop and take this panoramic photograph. The colours of the fields and skies were a lovely sight.

Once you arrive at Klotok temple there is a large car park beside the beach. To get to the temple itself you have to pass through an outer courtyard which contains a fearsome statue of a dog god.

Another important temple, Pura Goa Lawah on Goa Lawah beach, is just a few miles up the coast. Goa Lawah temple is very famous for the fruit bat colony in a cave around which the rest of the temple has developed.

From Kuta follow signs to Sanur. Then proceed up the coast road north for Semarapura. Klotok Temple is just before Kusama. The road to the temple and beach passes through terrain containing rice fields.
