Four Lanes Mast - 360 Panoramas - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Four Lanes Mast is the Television Relay Transmitter for Cornwall. I was looking for a very high subject to include in a panorama and in Cornwall you don't get much taller than this mast.

Four Lanes Mast - 360 Panoramas - Redruth visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Four Lanes Mast - 360 Panoramas' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Cornwall.
The Redruth Four Lanes TV transmitter stands just north of the small village of Four Lanes (Peder Bownder), about 4 miles south of Redruth. The 152.4 metres high, guyed steel lattice mast serves much of Penwith region in Cornwall. It is a major local land-mark, visible for miles around broadcasting both Analogue and Digital radio as well as digital TV signals.
Four Lanes itself, along with the adjacent settlement of Pencoys are on the upland plateau of the Carnmenellis granite batholith on the B3297 road. Near the town is a caravan park and camping ground (Lanyon Holiday Park). Tumuli can be found on the hills around the village, testifying to the Stone and Bronze Age occupation of the area. From more recent times are the remains of mining industry, such as the Carnkie Great Flat Lode Mine on the nearby lodes. South of Four Lanes is Sithians Reservoir.
