Indian Queens - FURTHER INFORMATION
Indian Queens - Indian Queens visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Indian Queens' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Cornwall.
Known as Krows Karworgi in Cornish, the small village of India Queens lies just south of Toldish in central Cornwall. The village grew up as a Victorian era preaching pit made out of a disused quarry. The name comes from the Indian Queen coach / post house that stood here in the 19th century on the road from Goss Moor to Fraddon. The stone porch from the inn still remains today, incorporated into a more modern building. Local folklore would also like to link the village to a supposed visit by Pocahontas.
Visitors to Indian Queens today can stay at Carony Bed and Breakfast (B&B).
