This panoramic photograph of Sanur Beach was taken quite early in the morning, which adds to the stillness of the water. As can be seen, not many tourists had yet arrived, and, at 10am, Sanur Beach was calm, quiet and restful.

Panorama showing Sanur Beach in Bali. Sanur beach is on the east of Bali, just on the other side of the island from Kuta Beach and Legian Beach. This beach is much quieter than the other two, and also more protected. Sanur Beach was the first beach resort to be developed in Bali, but has not become over developed and retains much of the relaxing charm.

Sanur is still one of the largest villages on Bali, and the traditional feel has not been swamped by hotel developments. The hotels and resorts have slowly grown up alongside the village without destroying it. Sanur is a very popular destination in Bali, and some consider this to be among one of the best beaches in Bali.

As can be seen from this panoramic photograph of Sanur beach this is not without reason as it has lots of soft sand, still waters and a coral reef which makes it good for snorkeling. The beach is, naturally, well appointed with sun beds and other services.

From the Ngurah International Airport or Kuta head over towards the east of Bali through Pesanggaran and then up the coast a little way to Sanur.
