Sometimes known as Michael or St Michael's, Mitchell is a small village in western Cornwall next to the A30. About a mile away is Carland Cross Wind Farm, the first wind farm in Cornwall at Carland Cross.

Road: Mitchell is on the A30, about 8 miles north of Truro, 5 miles south of Newquay and 12 miles west of St Austell.
Train: The nearest train stations are Truro Station (8 miles) and Quintrell Downs Rail Station (4 miles).
