The River Thames separates Windsor from Eton. On the Windsor side there are various cycle ways, walkways, cafés and ice cream stands. Next to this is Alexandra Gardens. Private leisure boats and canal boats are often moored alongside the river. For visitors, both small motor boats and rowing boats can be hired on the Windsor Promenade, where river cruises also depart from, near to the Windsor Town Bridge. On the opposite bank, in Eton, are The Brocas.
