Russel's Pond is one of several lakes and ponds found within Windsor Great Park. The pond lies next to Queen Anne Ride, close to the Rangers Lodge and just north of the Village, about 3 miles south of Windsor. Further south, at the highest point of Queen Anne Ride, is the Jubilee Statue.
A little to the east is Snow Hill and the Copper Horse statue at the southern end of The Long Walk, from where there are stunning panoramic views over Windsor and the surrounding area.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Car: There is a car park at Cranbourne Gate, about 3 miles south of Windsor.
Bus: Windsor Great Park, Rangers Lodge (1)
Flight: Heathrow Airport, 12 miles east of Windsor.
Road: Windsor is close to junction 6 of the M4, about 30 miles west of central London and 8 miles from the M25.
Train: Windsor & Eton Central Rail Station, Windsor & Eton Riverside Rail Station.
