Obelisk Pond in is on the south east of Windsor Great Park, close to Savill Gardens. It is named after the Cumberland Obelisk which stands near the northern shores and was erected by King George II in honour of his son, the Duke of Cumberland.

A short distance further south is Valley Garden, where there is an interesting 100 foot high Totme Pole and Virginia Water.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE

Car: The nearest car park is at Savill Gardens, about 5 miles south of Windsor near the A30.
Flight: Heathrow Airport, 12 miles east of Windsor.
Road: Windsor is close to junction 6 of the M4, about 30 miles west of central London and 8 miles from the M25.
Train: Windsor & Eton Central Rail Station, Windsor & Eton Riverside Rail Station.
