Panorama showing Stromeferry in Scotland. I think one of the most amusing things about Stromeferry is the road signs to it that clearly state "Stromeferry (No Ferry)". This small settlement on Loch Carron must have had one at some time...

Stromeferry is a very small village, or Hamlet, on the south-eastern bank of Loch Carron in the Wester Ross area of the Highlands] of ccr51,Scotland . The road sign clearly states that there is no ferry service from here. The ferry service stopped in 1970, previously crossing to the area west of Lochcarron and Achintraid, now accessible only by road.

There are a couple of cottages in Stromeferry that are available for rent on either a nightly or weekly basis. If you are looking for a quiet retreat within easy access of Skye and the other attractions in the Lochalsh area of the Scottish Highlands, then Stromeferry is a good place to consider. Nearby are the villages of Achmore, Braeintra and Fernaig (a settlement along the shoreline on the edge of Loch Carron). From the shore, there are views across into Loch Kishorn, up the mainland coast towards Applecross and over the sea to Skye and Raasay. There are a number of good hill walking and hiking points within easy access of Stromeferry making it a quiet and convenient central point to enjoy the area.
ADDRESS
Stromeferry is about 12 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh on the A890, which runs between Kyle of Lochalsh and Achnasheen in Scotland.
