Dinorwic quarry near Llanberis was once the number one quarry for slate which was sent all over the world. There are huge mountains of old slate everywhere around there and all the old equipment isrusting away. This is an old waggon which was used on the inclines in connection with a winch house (in the background) to get the slate down the mountains to the railways and then to the harbours.
