Trafalgar Square with a lawn laid on it. Well I just had to go and see this for myself, and Trafalgar Square with a grass lawn turned out to be very popular for the 2 days it was there. Gave the whole place a very different and much more relaxed feel to it. Maybe they should consider making it a longer change.

Trafalgar Square is one of the main landmarks and tourist attractions in London. For two days, on the 24th and 25th of May 2007, Trafalgar square was turned into a Green Space in the heart of London. More than 2,000 square metres of turf was laid in the square as part of a campaign to promote breen spaces and villages in the city by Visit London.
