Poppy Field in Bloom - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Hand held virtual tour of poppies in bloom. This poppy field was a glorious site and one of the most expansive spread of poppies in the UK. Photographed with the poppies in full bloom in early June 2010, this virtual tour panorama shows the hillside covered in red. Guaranteed to cause any tourist car to draw to a stop to take pictures.
Poppy Field in Bloom - FURTHER INFORMATION
Poppy Field in Bloom - Kidderminster visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Poppy Field in Bloom' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Worcestershire.
A field near Bewdley and Kidderminster in Worcestershire is covered with poppies after being left fallow for a year. Near to the Devils Spittleful & Blackstone Farm Nature Reserve, it has become a local tourist attraction with a higher density of poppies than anywhere else in the UK.
The poppy field is roped off to protect nesting skylarks with an area roped aside for visitors to come and look and, obviously, take pictures. Long term plans are to turn the filed back to heathland as part of a nature conservation project, at which point this amazing display of poppies will once again vanish.
