Holy Trinity church stands opposite the Woolspack Inn pub in Slad, a small village in Gloucestershire. The 19th century church was designed by Charles Baker of Painswick in 1834 and is the burial site of Laurie lee, the author of Cider with Rosie with whom Slad is famously associated, and where the 1988 TV adaptation of the book was filmed.
Slad is one of many picturesque, traditional villages in the Cotswalds, set in beautiful countryside popular with visitors.
