The Samuel Lithgow Youth Centre (SLYC) serves the youth and wider community of the Regents Park Estate in Camden, central London. Recently refurbished, the centre contains a gym, computer centre, sports hall, DJ / music room, youth juice bar / recreation room, and dance studio. Shown in this image is the versatile space used for children's work and other events, linked to an industrial kitchen.
The SLYC is very popular with all sectors of the local area, and many of the services are provided free of charge to local residents. Among the activities run at the centre are various gym, yoga and other exercise classes, workshops on a number of topics for the youth, badminton clubs, football clubs, free IT sessions and more.
Some of these spaces are available for private hire at the weekend. The SLYC is a charity, and all funds raised are ploughed back into both the centre and activities for the local community.
