Cala Gracio - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
This panorama of Cala Gració was taken early in the morning. The long narrow cala is just waking up. It seems that each night the beach may be manicured, as regular tractor tracks are visible in the sand, which was quite reminiscent of the way skiing pistes are treated in preparation for the day. It was easy to imagine people relaxing away from the crowds in Sant Antoni and on the other beaches nearby the other side of town.

Panorama of Cala Gració in Ibiza. Cala Gració is a short distance north of San Antonio town in a narrow deep inlet. While the beach is quite close to San Antonio, most people head in the other direction towards Cala de Bou or Calo de s'Oil, which means that Cala Gració is fairly quite by comparison. It is very easy to walk the 2km from San Antonio to this beach but few people bother. There are some hotels quite close to the beach, but they have been built in such a manner as to preserve the idea of seclusion.
Cala Gració in fact contains two little coves. One is about 100m wide, and the other about 40m wide. The beaches are separated by a small outcrop of rock. This panoramic photograph was taken from the wider of the two beaches. As can be seen, the beach has soft white sand, and is very protected from the sea providing a safe place for children. There is a small bar / restaurant here and sun beds / shades may be hired for a small fee. This beach is all about relaxing.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
