The area of scrubland and heath shown in this image lies on next to the north bank of the River Nene, just beyond the A1139, east of Peterborough city center and close to the Peterborough Rugby Union Football Club. It is bounded by Second Drove and Third Drove.
The southern border is lined by weeping willow trees and leads to the walking paths next to the River Nene, which at this point form part of the Nene Way and Hereward Way hiking trails. the trail at this point is also accessible to cycles.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Road: Peterborough is near the northern end of the A1(M) at the meeting of the A15, A47 and A1139 roads. It is about 37 miles north of Cambridge, 80 miles west of Norwich and 40 miles east of Leicester.
Train: Peterborough Station on East Coast Main Line, about an hour out of London
