Alqueva Dam 2 - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The Alqueva dam is located on the Guadiana river in the Alentejo countryside, near the village of Alqueva, Portugal. It is the biggest dam in Europe, is 96 feet tall, 250 km2 of surface with a capacity of 150hm3. The construction of the dam allowed the creation of the largest artificial lake in Europe.
