The Center of Solar Photovoltaic Amareleja is the largest solar power station in the world, built in Amareleja, Alentejo, Portugal. Began to produce solar energy on March 17, 2008 with a capacity of 46 MWp power and produces 93 million kilowatts / hour per year, equivalent to consumption of more than 30,000 families. The plant covers an area of 250 hectares and consists of 2,520 solar trackers, photovoltaic modules with 262,080.
