Port Arthur Church - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The gothic style church at Port Arthur was built by convicts from stone cut by convicts. Even the boy convicts were put to hard labour in the quarry and construction. Church service attendance was compulsory at Port Arthur. The church tragically burned out when a gardener burned green waste too close to the wall.
