Kleine Scheidegg Station acts as the base camp during the skiing championship races held at Wengen. Helicopters are used to ferry up people, supplies and equipment for the races. The downhill ski race starting point is at the top of the WIXI run, near the top of the Lauberhorn chair lift. In the background behind the helicopters are the Eiger and Jungfraujoch mountains. There are usually helicopters in the area as this is the fastest way of moving things off the mountains.
These panoramas are also displayed on this Jungfrau Ski and Piste Map where you will find more information about this ski resort.
