The chapel of St Benedict (Kapela sv. Benedikta) is one of two tiny chapels still standing as part of the Benedictine community that used to inhabit Sv Marije Island on Mljet Island in Croatia. The other chapel is dedicated to St John (Sv Ivanna). Next to this small chapel is a small cemetery.
The Benedictine order occupied the island from the 12th to 19th century, and the main Monastery Church of Saint Mary (Sv Marije) from the 12th century still stands. Today, it is one of the highlights of Mljet National Park and the monastery complex has been turned into a restaurant.
