Lauberhorn - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
It has to be said the climbing up the last part of the Lauberhorn through deep snow with ski boots on and carrying a camera and tripod is not an easy task. As can be seen in this picture - it was well worth the effort, though I was not so sure after what seemed forever on the way up.
Lauberhorn - FURTHER INFORMATION
Lauberhorn - Jungfrau visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Lauberhorn' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Bernese Oberland.
Panorama from the top of the Lauberhorn mountain Keine Scheidegg taken in winter. To get to this point in the winter, take the Lauberhorn chair lift up from Kleine Scheidegg and then remove your skis and scramble up the rest of the mountain to the viewing platform at the top. From here there is a fantastic view over the whole of the valley in which Wengen and Lauterbrunnen are resting. As with everywhere, the peaks of the Eiger (3870m), Mönch (4107m) and Jungfrau (4158m) loom high above the rest of Kleine Scheidegg, but the true perspective of the size and dominance of these mountains is probably best appreciated from this lookout point. At the far end of the valley, under the clouds, is Interlaken. One of the lakes us just visible. In the summer it is possible to walk up the Lauberhorn to this point from Kleine Scheidegg. The whole area is very popular with walkers and climbers.
These panoramas are also displayed on this Jungfrau Ski and Piste Map where you will find more information about this ski resort.
