Pykes Creek Reservoir - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Panorama of Pykes Creek Reservoir between Ballan and Myrniong on the Western Highway has a capacity of 22,119ML and a surface area of 203ha. The reservoir was constructed between 1908 and 1911 to store water for irrigation and town water supply and offers many recreational activities including boating, swimming, fishing etc. After many years of drought the reservoir was completely filled again in 2010.
