A number of small villages line the southern side of the PeljeÅ¡ac peninsula in Dubrovnik-Neretva county, Croatia. Among them are KučiÅ¡te and Viganj, which are popular holiday destinations for windsurfing and kite surfing. Along the coast here are a few wind surfing and kite surfing schools and hire shops. Nearby are camp grounds and a few holiday apartments for those staying here, with several good restaurants nearby.
This is a dramatic place to kite surf, with good winds passing down the channel between the peninsula and Korčula island and the peninsula hills behind. On Korčula island is the medieval fortified town of Korčula, a very popular tourist destination and easily visited as a day trip from the peninsula via ferry from Orebic, 6 km from Kuciste.
