Brač is the largest island in Dalmatia and third largest island in the Adriatic. Situated off the coast of Split in Croatia, it is a very popular tourist destination, lined with beautiful beaches and hotel resorts as well as containing many historical sites including villages like Škrip from pre-Roman times.
The main town on Brač is Supetar, which has good ferry connections to Split. Other important towns and villages include Bobovišća na moru, Bol, Dol, Donji Humac, Dračevica, Gornji Humac, Ložišća, Milna, Mirca, Murvica, Nerežišća, Povlja, Postira, Praznica, Pučišća, Škrip, Splitska, Sumartin and Sutivan.
