Ski huts are always a welcome sight on the slopes. Nothing better than to loosen the boots for a bit, sit back with a good drink or a snack and just enjoy the view before setting off skiing again. This one had a special lookout place giving a good panoramic view of the surrounding area. To get to it required going down a black run though...

Panorama from the a lookout next to a hut and restaurant on black run 41 in Keine Scheidegg. Run 41 descends from the top of the Lauberhorn Chair down a tight gully. This panoramic photograph shows the top of the lookout with a Swiss flag on it. The top of the flag is just below the peak of the Eiger. There are two people coming down. Above the ridge that joins the Monch to the Jungfrau mountain is a helicopter. From here there is a good view down towards Grindelwald. This picture was taken late in the afternoon and behind the hut, to the right of the other swiss flag in the picture, is the Lauberhorn peak from which it is possible to see down to Wengen and Lauterbrunnen.
