Google Map More London DevelopmentPhotographer Description of More London DevelopmentThe More London Development is a new addition to the London and River Thames skyline. The buildings are, thankfully, quite low which still allows the river to feel fairly open. On a sunny day, as in this panorama, the glass on the buildings take up the blue of the sky making the whole development feel more light an airy then when it is raining. It is easy to pass time here watching the river traffic and people passing by.More London Development - Further InformationPanorama of the riverside view of the More London development next to the GLA City Hall on the River Thames in London. This picture shows the view along the Thames from the front of More London, which covers some of the most iconic buildings in London. There is Tower Bridge whose twin towers are known worldwide. On the far side of the river, next to Tower Bridge, is the Tower of London, and to the left of this the skyline of the City of London, of which the Swiss Re ('The Gherkin') building is the most well known. On the river itself is the The HMS Belfast, a floating museum and part of the Imperial War Museum. Next to here is also Hays Galleria, a boutique shopping mall with small restaurants. The next bridge upriver is London Bridge, where the Monument to the Fire of London stands, and another great place to get panoramic views of London's unique skyline. This panoramic photograph was taken near the front of 2 More London Riverside, the curved building behind the black egg-shaped sculpture. To the right of this are 3 More London Riverside and 4 More London Riverside respectively, which stand between 2 More London Riverside and the near-spherical City Hall building. In the middle of the open space, to the left of the sculpture, is a sunken area known as The Scoop. The Scoop is an outdoor sunken amphitheatre with seating for 800. This adds much to the community feel of the area as there are a number of free events, including film festivals, free theatre, free music performances, which are put on at The Scoop, making the development of More London open to all. In addition, More London contributed towards the refurbishment of Potters Fields Park, found next to the City Hall, which has further enhanced this historical part of London. More London is close to London Bridge tube station, and therefore within easy access of the rest of London. When the tube system is running smoothly it can take about 10 minutes to get to Mayfair, 7 minutes to Canary Wharf and 2 minutes to Bank. Naturally, there are numerous restaurants, bars and fitness clubs in the area to cater for the office workers at More London and the tourists who are passing by.
